I highly recommend the Head First PMP book to the beginners but not for intermediate and advanced levels.

O'Reilly Head First PMP is the book specifically target to the beginners and users who finds it difficult to read the traditional exam preparation book. The book is totally aligned with PMBOK, as each chapter covered in PMBOK can be found in Head First, PMP. The book is written in an easy, non-technical, language. It has explained all PMI concepts in detail using day-to-day scenarios, which any type of Project Manager, who is working on any sort of project, needs to face.

The book explains many concepts using different techniques, which includes creating a scene with different worldly characters, including a Project Manager and some other colleagues, and deriving a solution by discussing it and showing it using easy to read callout signs. Other technique includes the side-by-side table comparisons whether it's a problem or a process or a solution.

Another interesting thing about the book is that it periodically involves the user by presenting different exercises related to the concept under discussion. These exercises really help the reader to think and understand concept in an effective way. At the end each chapter there are some sample questions to give the reader an idea that what they can expect in the exam.

In a nutshell, the book is really good for beginners who want to learn about Project Management in a very easy manner. This book is also good for people who are in the field of project management but are not aware of PMIs best practices, as it explain in detail and with example all the best practices of Project Management.

I believe it could have been better if the eBook version had some interactive game like practice exercises and some videos on concepts. I highly recommend this book to the beginners but not for intermediate and advanced levels, as it is good for those who have either less or no experience in the field of Project Management and also whose knowledge of PMI best practice is limited.
