Kaplan GMAT Premier with Practice Tests Reviews
This book and accompanying study materials was the reason I passed the GMAT. It had the best information, practice test and overall delivery of the material I encountered on the test. It was a great help because it gave me the material I needed to know but also let me see the format, question style and timing I was likely to encounter the question when I was taking the test. This was especially important because even when I know and understand a set of material, I can still perform poorly on a test if I don't prepare under testing conditions. This was the best way the Kaplan books helped me.
I did check out some of the other Kaplan books, such as those that focused on the vocabulary and math, from the library. They were not as up to date as the one I purchased, but I figured math hadn't changed much in the past few years. It helped give me a more in-depth view of certain portions of the test I felt were important. All of the Kaplan books were excellent and helped me immensely. I would recommend them to other test takers as their primary study method.
In my opinion, this is the best GMAT preparation book. It has the theoretical part, questions and preparation tests. The theory behind the questions is explained in decent manner. The questions that you will find here are slightly harder that the ones in actual test. In the fact it is good preparation method because when you are solving these slightly hard questions at home you are not as nervous as you will be during the test. The preparation test are also consisted of slightly harder questions. The result that you will get from these preparation test is a good orientation of what you can expect in the real test.
